The Gospel in 100 Words
01:54
|
|||
At least for now,
the One True God
is not intruding on our freedom to choose our own strategies for life,
nor on our freedom to choose relationships that will validate our choices.
But there is only one person in history
that a mob, certain of its rightness, murdered for his remarkable wisdom, power and kindness,
who was really dead and was really buried,
and then literally was raised up again to be profoundly alive
`then, now and forever.
The only true God
will finally evaluate all humanity
based on what we do, or refuse to do,
with that person.

In the begining
God created the heavens and the earth.
And the earth was formless and void,
and darkness was over
the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God
was moving over
the surface of the waters.
Then God said,
"Let there be light";
and there was light.
God saw that the light was good;
and God separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light day,
and the darkness He called night.
And there was evening
and there was morning,
one day.
Then God said, "Let there
be-- an-- expanse in the midst of the waters,
in the midst of the waters, and let
-it separate-- the-
-waters from the waters."
-God made thee
expanse, and He
separated the waters
which were be
low the expanse from the
waters above
and it was so. And God called the
expanse heaven. The expanse heaven.
God called the expanse
-Heaven. And there was
And there was evening
and there was morning,
a second day.
Then God said, "Let the
waters below the heavens be gathered
into one place, and let
the dry land appear";
and it was so.
God called the
dry land earth,
and the ... waters
He called seas;
and God saw that
it was good.
-Then God said, "Let the earth sprout
vegetation ... yielding seed,
and fruit trees on the earth
bearing fruit after their kind
But there was more to come
before the third
day was done
with seed-- in them";
-with seed in them";
-and-- it was so
And vegetation came forth,
plants yielding seed--
after their kind,
and trees bearing fruit
with seed in them,
-after their kind;
and God saw
that it was good.
'cause it was good.
And there was evening
and there was morning,
a third day.

Genesis 1:14-20
02:46
|
|||
Then God
said, "Let there be
lights in the expanse
of the heavens
to separate the day from the night,
and let them be for signs
and for seasons and days and years;
and let them be for lights
in the expanse of the heavens
to give light on the earth"; and it was so.
God made the two
the two great lights,
the greater light to govern the day,
and the lesser light
to govern the night;
He made the stars also.
God placed them in the expanse
of the heavens
to give light on the earth,
and to govern the day and the night,
and to
separate the light
from the darkness;
and God saw it was good.
There was evening
and there was morning, a fourth day.
Then God said, "Let
the waters teem...
Let the waters teem
with swarms of
living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth
in the open expanse of the heavens.

01:23

I am God Almighty,
Walk-- before Me
And- be- blameless
And I will establish
My covenant between Me and you,
And I will multiply you ...
Abram fell on his face,
and God talked with him, saying,
"As for Me,
--behold, My
covenant is with you,
And you will be the father of a multitude of nations.
-"No longer shall your name be ... Abram,
But ... Abraham; For I have made you
the father of many nations.
Descendants, kings and nations:
Many will come forth from you.
And I will establish
an everlasting covenant
with you and your descendants after you
bestowing the land
of your sojournings,
all the land of Canaan...
to own forever;
and I will be their God."

Psalm 23
I am one of the Shepherd's sheep.
-He is committed to keep
Me safe and nurtured on his pasture land
My needs each moment satisfied
Soul and body, beneath his expert hand
He leads the way.
He is the way.
I become myself as I obey.
His nearness, authority, his means and ends
Even in the darkest dangers.
He stands protective, again, again, again.
He- is master of
All weapons, skills and tools
To defend his own
And bring wisdom to fools
Here in the midst of predators,
thieves and rivals and enemies,
he raises up a joyous kingdom fest.
We feast together at his table
with laughter, reverence, music, holiness.

The Mighty One,
God, Yahweh, speaks,
and calls the earth
from sunrise to sunset.
Out of Zion,
the perfection of beauty,
God shines out.
God shines out.
Our God comes, and does not keep silent.
A fire devours be fore him.
It is very stormy around him.
He calls to the heavens above,
to the earth, that he may judge his people:

Behold, bless the LORD,
all servants of the LORD,
Who serve by night in the house of the LORD!
Lift up your hands to the sanctuary
And bless the LORD.
May the LORD bless you from Zion,
... who made heaven and earth.
Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Coming down upon the beard,
Even Aaron's beard,
Coming down upon the edge of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon
Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing
life forever.

Proverbs 14:1-13
02:02
|

The wise woman
builds her house,
But the foolish one
tears it down with her own hands.
He who walks in his uprightness
fears the LORD,
But he who is devious in his ways
despises Him.
In the mouth of the foolish
is a rod for his back,
But the lips of the wise
will protect them.
Where no oxen are,
the manger is clean,
But much revenue
comes by the strength of the ox.
A trustworthy witness
will not lie,
But a false witness
utters lies.
A scoffer seeks wisdom
and finds none, But
knowledge is easy
to one who has understanding.
Leave the presence
of a fool,
Or you will not discern
words of knowledge.
The wisdom of the sensible
is to understand his way,
But the foolishness of fools
is deceit.
------------------------------------------
Fools mock at sin,
But among the upright
there is good will.
The heart knows its own bitterness,
And a stranger
does not
share its joy.
------------------------------------------
The house of the wicked
will be destroyed,
But the tent of the upright
will flourish.
-------------------------------------------------------------
There is a
way which seems right to a man,
But its end
is the way of death.
Even in laughter
the heart may be in pain,
And the end of joy
may be grief.

II Corinthians 3:1-8
03:25
|
|||
Are we beginning
to commend ourselves again?
Or do we need, as some,
letters of commendation
to you or from you?
You are our letter,
written in our hearts,
known and read by all men;
being manifested that
you are a letter of Christ,
cared for by us,
written not with ink but with the Spirit of
the living God,
not on tablets of stone
but on ...human hearts.
Such confidence we have
through Christ toward God.
Not that we are adequate in ourselves
to consider anything
as coming from ourselves,
but our adequacy is from God,
who also made us adequate
as servants of a new covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit;
for the letter kills,
but the Spirit gives life.
But if the ministry of death,
in letters engraved on stones,
came with glory,
so that the sons of Israel
could not look intently at the face of Moses
because of the glory of his face,
fading as it was,
how will the ministry
of the Spirit fail to be
even more with glory?
|
||||

II Corinthians 4:1-4
01:39
|

Therefore, since we have this ministry,
as we received mercy,
we do not lose heart,
but we have renounced
the things hidden because of shame,
not walking in craftiness
or adulterating the word of God,
but by the manifestation of truth
commending ourselves
to every man's conscience
in the sight of God.
And even if our gospel is veiled,
it is veiled to those who are perishing,
in whose case the god of this world
has blinded the minds of the unbelieving
so that they might not see
the light of the gospel
of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.

admonishing one another with
-psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with thankfulness in
in your hearts to God
Whatever
you do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord...
giving thanks through
Him to God the Father.
Beyond all things
put on love

03:25

-------------------------------------------------------------
What was from
the beginning,
what we have heard, what we
have seen with our eyes,
what we have looked at and
touched with our hands,
concerning the
Word of Life
-------------------------------------------------------------
and the life
was manifested,
and we have seen
and testify
and proclaim
to you
the eternal life,
which was with
the Father and was
manifested to us
-------------------------------------------------------------
what we have seen and heard we
proclaim to you also,
so that you too may have
fellowship
with us;
-------------------------------------------------------------
and indeed our
fellowship is
with the Father,
and with His Son Jesus Christ.
These things we write,
so that our joy may be made complete.
-------------------------------------------------------------
This is the message
we have heard from Him
and announce to you,
that God
is Light,
and in Him there
is no
darkness at all.
No darkness at all.
-------------------------------------------------------------
If we say that we have
fellowship with Him and
yet we walk in the darkness,
we lie and do not
practice the truth;
-------------------------------------------------------------
but if we walk
in the Light
as He Himself
is in the Light,
we have fellowship with
with one another,
and the blood of
Jesus His Son
cleanses us from all sin.
-------------------------------------------------------------
If we say we have no sin,
we are deceiving ourselves
and the truth is not in us.
truth is not
in us
-------------------------------------------------------------
If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and righteous
to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
-------------------------------------------------------------
If we say we have not sinned,
we make Him a liar
and His word is not in us.
His word is not
not in us
